Be Inclusive: the starting point to re-start

On the 30^thof May Prada Group is going to launch a new project in collaboration with the start up Twist Crochet.Starting from the motivation of the Group to be involved in social activities and its effort for women emancipation the final product developed will be a flattering cut t-shirt: the particularity will be that the shirt is handcrafted by women that are facing a difficult period of their life. The project is addressed to imprisoned woman starting from the biggest Italian realities (San Vittore and Rebibbia) to the smallest ones and, in collaboration with the Italian State, is aimed to reduce the recidivism rate (over 68%) giving to these women the possibility of a second chance. For the same reason at the end of their imprisonment period Prada will open some positions into its factories.

The final product will be available in stores in January and will target all the people that embrace the inclusive idea of the Prada Group, the realization is up to Prada Group that will finance the project in order to help the State after the cut of costs in the development of these kind of projects. The sensitization about the recidivism and reintegration arguments will even pass through strong communication channels: first of all the strongest campaign will be held on Instagram thanks to collaborations with Italian strong female characters involved in social projects as Anna Foglietta, Kasia Smutniak, Emma Marrone. On the other hand a strong video/fashion film campaign will be developed and spread not only online, but even through national services TV channels, in collaboration with Netflix Italia thanks to its effort, through the serie Orange Is The New Black, to show the real and actual world of prisons.

Prada Group founded in 1913 owned by the strong female personality of Miuccia from 1978 that gave birth to Prada Group in 2003. Symbol of its strong social involvement are two famous projects as Luna Rossa and Fondazione Prada, with the new project the Group will collaborate with a start up called Twist Crochet in order to help the new characters that have founded it to merge in the crowded fashion scenario, to train new possible employees and to give them the opportunity to Re-start.

PS: This article wants just to have a narrative aim, no project named here is happening, it is just something imagined for  a project with my group colleagues during a fashion master programme, it is good to think sometimes we only need stories that maybe will lead to real facts.
